Brett Feinstein, Esq.

Now entering his 30th year in practice, Brett has developed a niche practice in serving as outside General Counsel for corporations and individuals. As such, he handles all day-to- day, transactional litigation, and family law litigation needs for his roster of clients.

Most commonly, Brett’s practice brings him into the areas of family law, ranging from dissolution of marriage to paternity and child support modifications, student housing, tenants in common (TIC) litigation and transaction, condominium association and third-party purchasing matters, federal and state court litigation, gasoline service station litigation and transaction, appeals, and business transaction litigation.

As co-chair of University of Miami Center for Autism & Related Disabilities’ (UM-NSU CARD) 13th annual Tropical Nights gala in 2015, Brett helped raise over $300,000 to serve South Florida’s autism community. He was named pro bono Guardian ad Litem of the year. Additionally, he served as President of the Douglas Gardens Mental Health Center of Miami Beach Board of Directors and still sits on the Board today.

He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and a law degree from Emory University School of Law.

Brett is married and has three children. Despite tendency to work 24 hours a day, he is an avid swimmer and tennis player.

Martha Mendez, Esq.

Martha is a highly experienced attorney with seven years of experience. Throughout her professional journey, she has demonstrated remarkable dedication and commitment to the legal field. Martha began her legal career as a secretary working alongside Brett, gradually taking on more responsibilities and growing into a paralegal role. Her passion for the law led her to pursue a law degree, and she successfully obtained her Juris Doctor.

Martha specializes in elder and estate planning, where she assists clients in protecting their assets and planning for the future. In addition, she adeptly handles various aspects of real estate law, including assisting buyers and sellers with their purchase or sale, as well as assisting landlords and tenants with eviction issues. Finally, she has successfully represented numerous clients in a wide range of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division.

Martha is a proud Member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. This prestigious affiliation reflects her commitment to staying abreast of the latest developments and best practices in elder law.

Martha’s educational background includes an undergraduate degree from Florida International University. She later went on to earn her law degree from St. Thomas University where she graduated cum laude.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Martha enjoys boating, kayaking and traveling. She is happily married and has three children, who serve as a constant source of inspiration and motivation in both her personal and professional life.

Daniela Cardenas Capote, Esq.

Daniela specializes in the areas of family law, elder law, and estate planning. She has been endlessly devoted to growing in her legal career, first working as a family law legal assistant for almost two years before attending law school while exploring different legal fields and widening her knowledge. Her ambition, determination to grow, and passion for the legal profession were driving forces throughout her years at law school and continue to drive her as an attorney.

Daniela is dedicated to wide variety of family law matters including, child custody and timesharing, dissolution of marriage, child support, property division, and premarital planning. Further, she also offers services in the areas of elder law, estate planning, and asset protection such as durable power of attorney, wills, trusts, and more.

As associate attorney, Daniela is committed to the success and satisfaction of our clients. She is also committed to being the best advocate for her clients, to help relieve the stressors that come with legal dilemmas, and to guide clients every step of the way.

Daniela graduated summa cum laude from Florida International University where she obtained her bachelor’s in criminal justice and minor in Economics and graduated cum laude from St. Thomas University College of Law with her Juris Doctor degree. Outside of the office, Daniela enjoys traveling and trying new cuisines with her husband and spending time with her family.

Jacob Perez, Esq.

Jacob Perez graduated with a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami Law School, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Florida International University, where he graduated summa cum laude.

Specializing in assisting individuals with business ventures and structuring. Jacob brings a wealth of knowledge and commitment to his practice. His areas of practice include estate planning, intellectual property law, and the art of skillful contract drafting and negotiation.

Beyond his legal skills, Jacob is also an accomplished piano player. His passion for music is not only a testament to his artistic side but also reflects his ability to approach challenges with creativity and precision.

Jacob has a fervent interest in exploring theological literature, showcasing a curious and thoughtful mind that extends beyond the legal realm. This intellectual curiosity adds depth to his character and the way he approaches both professional and personal pursuits.
