Now entering his 30th year in practice, Brett has developed a niche practice in serving as outside General Counsel for corporations and individuals. As such, he handles all day-to- day, transactional litigation, and family law litigation needs for his roster of clients.
Most commonly, Brett's practice brings him into the areas of family law, ranging from dissolution of marriage to paternity and child support modifications, student housing, tenants in common (TIC) litigation and transaction, condominium association and third-party purchasing matters, federal and state court litigation, gasoline service station litigation and transaction, appeals, and business transaction litigation.
As co-chair of University of Miami Center for Autism & Related Disabilities’ (UM-NSU CARD) 13th annual Tropical Nights gala in 2015, Brett helped raise over $300,000 to serve South Florida’s autism community. He was named pro bono Guardian ad Litem of the year. Additionally, he served as President of the Douglas Gardens Mental Health Center of Miami Beach Board of Directors and still sits on the Board today.
He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and a law degree from Emory University School of Law.
Brett is married and has three children. Despite tendency to work 24 hours a day, he is an avid swimmer and tennis player.
Martha has worked alongside Brett for more than two decades. She started her journey in the legal field as secretary to Brett, grew into a paralegal role, and later decided to pursue a law degree herself. Not stopping there, she ultimately became name partner of the firm in 2017.
Most commonly, Martha works on real estate transactions ranging from assisting buyers and sellers, third-party real estate purchasers and real estate litigation clients to service any legal needs that may arise leading up to or during a transaction. She also handles elder law and estate planning matters.
Martha is also a Member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
Having an undergraduate degree from Florida International University, Martha obtained her law degree from Saint Thomas University.
Martha is married and has three children.
